Being NOHRA’s 2019 President is both humbling and exciting at the same time. It is an honor I do not take lightly. NOHRA has a prodigious legacy as a highly professional organization that adds value to HR professionals and friends of HR alike. The goal for 2019 is to not only continue that legacy but to build upon it.
There is a great line-up of speakers starting right away in January with national speaker James Robbins, who will offer suggestions on how to simplify leadership and raise employee engagement all at the same time. In February, Julie Pugh will bring a bit of fun and creativity to the new DOL regulations. Our Diversity conference is ramping up in new ways this year; you won’t want to miss this event. Planning for the annual golf outing is well underway, so gather your golf team now. The Toledo area annual HR conference (THRAC) is always a great event and well worth attending. Plus, there is much more!
So join the fun (renew or join NOHRA) and grow in relevant HR knowledge, network with other HR professionals and work towards your recertification by attending NOHRA’s meetings and events. If you want to get more involved by volunteering, just let us know and we would be happy to assist.
NOHRA’s board of directors works hard to bring big value to your career and professional social life at a reasonable cost. Let us know if we can assist you in any way. We are here to serve our members.
Looking forward to seeing you at our NOHRA events!
