Description:
Matrix is looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Coordinator to own our employee development initiatives through hosting innovative training events and educational programs. The L&D Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring employee development and leadership programs corporate-wide. A successful L&D Coordinator at Matrix will be a strong communicator, highly organized, confident in his or her ability to make decisions, and an effective time-manager.
Our company is preparing to launch a new ERP system. Roll out and training is set to last approximately four to six months with additional training and monitoring to follow. Prior experience in ERP training and roll out is highly desired.
Ideally this position will be part-time, approximately 20 -25 hours per week and ramping up to 30+ hours during ERP roll out. Full time hours may be available for qualified candidates. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the implementation of development activities
- Assists in the support and execution of career paths, setting goals, and overall development of employees
- Aids in the development of Emerging Leaders and High Potential leadership programs for employees in lower-level positions
- Selects and assigns subject matter experts and training consultants
- Schedules classes based on availability of classrooms, equipment and/or instructors Continually monitors and evaluates training progress and training procedures; updates curriculum and programs as-needed
- Collaborates with Director of Humans Resources to develop and maintain continual education support materials
- Markets available training opportunities to employees
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational development, or related degree required
- A minimum of two years of experience as a training coordinator, specialist, administrator, facilitator or similar role is required
- Hands-on experience coordinating a variety of training events in a corporate environment Experience developing, implementing and monitoring remote and regional training is preferred Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques Experience with e-learning and Learning Management Systems (LMS) strongly preferred Proficient with MS Office
- Advanced organizational skills High level of communication skills
- Ability to travel, both locally and overnight, up to 15% annually
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
- The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
